The greatest joys in my life have come from the connections I've formed with others. Above all else, my goal as your therapist is to connect with you on a genuine, person-to-person level.
As a transracial Chinese adoptee, I value cultural humility and recognize that each person brings a unique perspective shaped by navigating multiple cultures, identities, and traditions. Growing up in a multicultural family has given me firsthand insight into the complexities of belonging, identity development, and how our lived experiences shape how we see ourselves and relate to others.
Each of us holds multiple intersecting identities that shape how we experience the world and relate to others. These identities may include our roles and relationships, such as being a daughter, a sister, or an adoptee, as well as our values, interests, cultural background, and lived experiences. I believe that recognizing and honoring these intersecting identities within the therapeutic relationship fosters deeper understanding, empathy, and authentic connection. Combined with my clinical training, this perspective allows me to create a collaborative, warm, and affirming space where you feel seen, understood, and supported as your whole self.
